  • We cannot say enough great things

We cannot say enough great things about Fawn River! Our puppy from there came healthy and happy. He is the most well behaved and loving dog, and was up to date on all his medicals when we received him.

Robin was also so great to work with, being really responsive, flexible on meeting time with us to come pick up our pup, and answering all our questions.

Even after we took Walter home, Robin continues to check in and answer any questions we have as they come up. I can’t recommend Fawn River enough!

  • So confident and loves everyone she meets

We are in love with our newest family member ! We picked up Posey who was formerly known as Azalea 5/7/24. We toured the facility and spent sometime meeting our new pup. Robin was kind and so helpful and made the purchase from out of state so easy! She is our second bernedoodle but our first from Fawn River.

We can’t thank you enough Posey is so confident and loves everyone she meets and we know it’s because of the great start she had from you and your family a world of difference from our other bernedoodle who was scared and very nervous . Posey is so smart and picked up the bell method to go potty outside with in the first few days.

If you are looking for a bernedoodle we would highly recommend Fawn River Doodles!

  • Robin called FIVE minutes later

Where to begin?! Very long story short we had a puppy from someone fall through, after some google searching, found Fawn River. I left my info on their website, thinking I’d hear from them a few days later, low and behold Robin called him FIVE minutes later it took me a few moments to gather my thoughts as I was not expecting to hear back so quickly… Koa (Benji) was going to be ours just a few days later!

Koa is an amazing boy, who loves to cuddle, play and just be around you. He’s very social, loves meeting anybody and everybody and wants to play with every dog he meets! He’s a beautiful, healthy boy and we couldn’t ask for a better addition to our family!

Frequently asked questions

FAQs

We've done our best to answer the most asked questions. If you don't see your question listed here search for your specific question on our FAQs page.

  • What is lifetime support?

When you purchase a puppy at FRD you get more than just your puppy, you get all the support you want or need.

We are always here to answer your questions any time of the day or night (if we are awake ????). We would rather you ask questions than have something preventable happen to your puppy. Granted, we may not always know the answer, but we will always do our best to help.

  • What's included in the vet check?

Dr. Sellon comes to our home to check on all our puppies. He does a head-to-toe exam and gives age appropriate vaccines. Every puppy has an exam before they go to their new forever home and will come with a signed health record from the vet.

  • How do I help my puppy adjust to its new home?

The first few days of bringing a new puppy home can be overwhelming. These are some tips for you so you can have a smooth transition.

    Choose a potty spot

You should start by taking your puppy to an outside spot where you want him to go potty. Be sure to use a command like “go potty” so the puppy can learn.

Introduce your home one room at a time

Introduce your house to your puppy one room at a time. This will prevent a sensory overload and allows the puppy to get used to its new surroundings slowly.

    Introduce family members individually

Try to let your puppy meet each family member individually.

    Introduce its sleeping space

Show your puppy their sleeping space, which could either be a crate or a dog bed.

    Give chew toys

Puppies like to chew so be sure to provide safe puppy chew toys.

Keep a close eye on your new family member

It’s important for your puppy to stay supervised within the early days.

    Start training immediately

It’s critical that your puppy learns rules from the beginning. This is because the more structured and consistent its day is, the better adjusted it will be. Don’t yell or punish the puppy as this will only frighten and confuse it.

    Take things slow

Under your supervision, gradually expand the puppy’s environment. With lots of affection, consistent rules and routine, rewards for good behavior, and gentle corrections, your puppy will adjust in no time.
