Welcome to our page! We are so glad you have taken the time to see what we love doing. We started raising puppies in 2014 and our whole family loved the experience.
I grew up raising puppies. My dad raised German Shepherds when I was 7–15 years old. When Trina and I started breeding doodles in 2014, it brought back memories of my childhood.
Caring for our puppies and parents is really important to us. We make them part of our family by interacting with them and have them on a regular grooming schedule so they are clean and healthy.
Not every breeder treats their puppies and parents like us. That’s why we encourage everyone to visit our farm to see it for yourself.
I always hear positive comments when people visit us. If you can’t visit because of distance, FaceTime me and I’ll show you around the property.
The hardest part about raising puppies is retiring the moms. They’ve become a part of our family and have a special place in our hearts.

Before we knew it we were looking to add some more moms to our program. Our program has changed over the years as we have figured out what works for us and what doesn’t.
First and foremost our goal is to raise healthy, social puppies and to do that it starts with the parents. We test all our parents for diseases (Embark, Animal genetics & Pawprints) and do OFA testing on hips, elbows, patellas and heart. We know color is important to so many as well so we have been researching and learning all about how we can give you color and temperament.
We have been slowly transitioning to breeding mostly all Bernedoodles but we still have a few Goldendoodle moms in the program and probably always will because we will always love them.
Our home is conveniently located in Goshen IN, two hours east of Chicago and two and half hours north of Indianapolis. Feel free to contact us to set up a visit or FaceTime.
Robin & the boys do most of the everyday work with the dogs. This includes feeding, cleaning and and always lots of poop cleanup! The work is endless from breeding, puppy whelping, puppy handling and socializing to puppy photos, grooming, vet visits, deworming, social media, playtime the list could go on… but we LOVE it. We really do love what we do, we get to meet some of the most wonderful people and you all allowing us to raise your puppy is a privilege.
You don’t see a lot of me (Trina) I do most of the behind the scenes stuff like all the fun paperwork, social media and photos. My favorite thing is the births I am always with the moms it doesn’t matter what time of day or night it is, I am with them. This is a such a special bonding time, new moms especially. The process can be messy and so tiring (it usually happens when I am exhausted) and really heartbreaking if we lose a puppy it doesn’t happen often but it does happen.
All our kids help with some aspect of this job and we couldn’t do it with out them. Our daughter Alleah does a lot of cleaning and washing up dog bowls. She was born in 2007 with Cystic Fibrosis and over the years has spent many weeks in the hospital. Thankfully a new drug was invented that has helped her so much so she hasn’t needed to be hospitalized the last few years. This job has given us flexibility to be able to take her to her appointments and also help with the financial side of it. We are so so thankful and don’t take it for granted.
We are so grateful to you for choosing Fawn River Doodles for your new puppy and know when you purchase from us you are making dreams come true!
